Should You Watch This?: A Quiet Place (spoilers)
The Movie Checklist - Should You Watch This?
Did you ever wonder if you could trust those rating sites on their reviews of movies? I mean all those strangers can’t know if you’re gonna like a movie! Leave it to just one stranger... me. I’m gonna tell you whether or not you should watch movies (there will be spoilers). Let’s go.
Movie name: A Quiet Place
Main character(s): Mom, Dad, Kids
Notable cast members: John Krasinski and Emily Blunt real life married couple play Mom and Dad.
One line-ish plot summary: In a post-apocalyptic world everyone must be quiet to stay hidden from the monsters. One family decides to risk it all by having another child. Why? I don’t know.
Best character: The middle brother
Worst character: The parents. Why would you have a baby at a time like this?
Best moment: When the two older kids are trapped in a grain silo and trying not to sink and suffocate in the grain. It was a very tense scene and a situation I hope to never find myself in.
Worst moment: When the youngest child (RIP) wants a battery operated toy and the parents tell him no. The take out the batteries and sit the batteries next to the toy. Of course the child gets a hold of it anyway and puts the batteries back in which causes a ruckus and the monsters come and kill him. Listen here, take the batteries and get rid of them and give your child the toy with no access to the batteries. C’mon!
Plot twists?: The hearing impaired daughter figures out that the monsters can be hurt by loud squealing noises.
How was the ending?: It was fine because they figured out how to kill the monsters, but I with the dad didn’t have to die.
Sequels/prequels?: Nope, not yet at least
Is this a good movie?: It’s fine
Why did Kayla watch this movie?: It was a new horror film not a part of a franchise and it was an interesting concept.
