Should You Watch This? Child's Play 3 (spoilers)
The Movie Checklist - Should You Watch This?
Did you ever wonder if you could trust those rating sites on their reviews of movies? I mean all those strangers can’t know if you’re gonna like a movie! Leave it to just one stranger... me. I’m gonna tell you whether or not you should watch movies (there will be spoilers). Let’s go.
Movie name: Child’s Play 3
Main character(s): The old favs Chucky and Andy plus some newbies - Tyler, Nerdy Cadet, and Girl Cadet.
Notable cast members: It’s notable that the actor for Andy was changed in this film.
One line-ish plot summary: The Chuckster follows a teenaged Andy to military school, hi-jinks ensue.
Best character: Nerdy Cadet AKA Cokebottles McGee. He throws himself on a grenade to save his friends. 😢
Worst character: Tyler, the little shit head kid that opens the package Chucky mailed himself in addressed to Andy. “Wah wah! You said a bad word Charles!”. Well guess what Tyler? Tampering with mail is a FEDERAL OFFENSE!
Best moment: When Chucky gets chopped into little pieces from falling into a fan at a theme park in the end.
Worst moment: Tylerrrrrrr ughhhhh “Barclay, you were right! Charles is meaaaaaan!”
Plot twists?: Not really.
How was the ending?: Great, Chucky gets shredded which leads to his new character design being devised in the next film Bride of Chucky. At this point he’s been the stitched up version longer that the unassuming Good Guy version.
Sequels/prequels?: ooooh buddy are there!
Is this a good movie?: It’s passable. Not the best Chucky movie, and not the worst.
Why did Kayla watch this movie?: I was a child and it was on tv and scared the shit out of me.
Does Kayla like this movie?: I’ll watch it if it’s on, but I might turn the channel when Tyler starts all that whining.
Should you watch this movie?: If you haven’t seen it, you should definitely watch it, but make sure you watch Child’s Play 1 and 2 first.
Why you should watch this movie: It’s a classic.
Where you can watch this movie (as of this posting): As of this posting, you can rent it on Youtube for $2.99, or try your local Walmart.
Extra advice: The opening scene is nightmare fuel even for a desensitized old crone such as myself. You've been warned.
